PROFILE
SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Ashis Datta is appointed as an Assistant Professor of Zoology at Jahangirnagar University. He graduated from the same university with a B.Sc. (Hons.) and an M.Sc. in Zoology (specialization in Wildlife Ecology, Management, and Conservation Biology), securing first position in both programs' merit lists. Prior to joining in the academia Ashis worked at the IUCN, International Union for Conservation of Nature, Bangladesh Country Office (under Species and Biodiversity cluster) and Arannayk Foundation-Bangladesh Tropical Forest Conservation Foundation (under project development unit).
Ashis is an Erasmus Mundus M.Sc Scholar (2017-2019) in Applied Ecology (Funded by the European Union) jointly conferred by the University of East Anglia, UK., University of Kiel, Germany & University of Poitiers, France.
